Create a Manufacturer — New

You can create a manufacturer from the Product Management Search interface.

Note: To use this feature you must set the profile option Redwood Manufacturer Pages Enabled to Y . The profile option code is EGP_MANUFACTURER_REDWOOD_ENABLED. Also, you must opt in to the feature Search Items Using the New User Interface.

To create a manufacturer using the Product Management Search interface:

  1. On the Tasks panel tab, click Search Product Management Experience.
  2. Select Manufacturer from the Product Management Search drop-down list.
  3. Click Create.
  4. Enter the details of the new manufacturer in the New Manufacturer side panel and click Create.

    A new page showing the following manufacturer tabs appears:

    • Attributes
    • MPN
    • Attachments
  5. On the Edit page, in the Attributes tab, separate sections for basic details, location, and attributes are present. Each of these sections can be edited. Click Save after editing the individual manufacturer sections.
  6. Add attachments details and preview them in the side panel. If there are multiple attachments, use the arrows to view each of them.
    Note:
    • After you create the manufacturer you can also select an attachment and open it directly in a viewer without needing to download it.
    • The Favorites and Recent Items links to manufacturers will launch the manufacturer page in the Product Development work area.
