Create Analysis Hierarchies for Related Items
Use the Manage Analysis Hierarchies for Related Items page to create analysis hierarchies for analyzing the results of end item substitution and supersession in your replenishment plan.
Note these points while creating analysis hierarchies:
- You can create multiple catalogs for your replenishment plan. You can then configure your tables and graphs for display of one of the catalogs.
- For your analysis, you'll need to create copies of the Replenishment Workbench
table for every catalog that you create.
Therefore, use your judgment while creating catalogs.
- Different organizations can have different substitution and supersession chains.
Even if two organizations share the same chain, they might have different
subsets of the items in the chain, and the item sequence can be
different.
Therefore, while selecting locations, ensure that the resulting analysis hierarchies cover the maximum number of organizations in your catalog.
- Only those item relationships that are effective on the date the analysis hierarchy is created are considered.
