Create a Flow Schedule for Flow Manufacturing

You can create a flow schedule based on the selected flow manufacturing work definition using the Redwood user experience.

To create a flow schedule for flow manufacturing:

  1. Navigate to the Work Execution Overview work area.
  2. From the Actions menu, select ManageFlow Schedules.

    The Production Lines page opens displaying the production lines that have been identified for the organization.
  3. Select a production line and click View Flow Schedules Summary to review the flow schedule summary of a production line.

    The Production Schedule Summary page displays the details such as day-wise view of the planned quantity, past quantity, line capacity and the available capacity for a week.

  4. Select a flow schedule for a specific day and click the date link.

    The Flow Schedules page displays the schedules that are planned to be completed on a selected day.

    Now, let’s create a flow schedule for an item based on the selected flow manufacturing work definition to build it on a production line at a certain rate.

  5. Click Create Flow Schedule.

    The dialog appears on the right-pane.

  6. Select an item from the drop-down list.

    The item description populates automatically.

  7. Select a work definition from the drop-down list.
  8. Provide a completion date and quantity for the schedule.
  9. (Optional) Provide any additional information in the descriptive flexfields information for the flow schedule in the Additional Information section.

    A flow schedule can have one of three statuses: past due, scheduled, or completed.

  10. Click Create.

Note:

You can't create flow schedules in the following organizations

  • Contract manufacturing organization
  • Organization enabled for inventory tracking by project & task
  • Organization enabled for country-of-origin tracking
  • Warehouse management system integration enabled organization
