Configure Guided Task Flow for Mass Component Replacement
You can configure the steps for performing a mass replacement of a component on multiple item structures. Here’s how:
- Select Configure Guided Tasks in the Product Management Experience panel tab.
- On the Configure Guided Tasks page, click Create.
- On the New Guided Task page, select Component Replacement in the Category list. Enter the task details and click Create Draft.
- Configure Criteria: Select and organization and change type. You can select one Organization and one Change Type to configure your criteria so that when you run your guided task, the component search will be confined within the selected organization for that guided task and the replacement change can be routed through the selected base change type.Note: The search will return many results when you don’t select an organization or a change type.
- Task: Click Add and add task details on the New Task page. Each task can have required fields which must be entered. Click Save.
- Click Activate.
