Outbound Shipments
You can prepare your outbound shipments for carrier pickup and confirm the shipments while on the go using a mobile device. Getting outbound orders packed and prepped for carrier pickup efficiently is a key step to fulfilling your customer's orders on time.
Here’s what you can do with mobile shipping:
- Search for lines by scanning or entering a shipment or order number.
- Review lines assigned to the shipment.
- Pack the assigned lines into packing units.
- Update shipment or shipment line data.
- Split shipment lines.
- Assign or unassign shipment lines to the shipment.
- Confirm the shipment.
You can search for your outbound shipment lines by scanning a barcode identifier or entering the shipment number, order number, lot number, or serial number.
The Ship Goods page displays all shipment lines assigned to the shipment. On this page, you can validate the item and quantities in the shipment and perform shipment confirmation. You can also update the shipment or shipment line information and split shipment lines. You can also add lines to the shipment.
You can pack shipment lines into packing units and unpack shipment lines from packing units. You can select an existing packing unit or create a new one by searching for and selecting the packing unit type. The page also displays suggested packing unit types for the items defined in the Manage Default Packing Configurations setup task.
