Why do I see a receipt inspection balance for the purchase orders?

If you're using dual units of measure and the delivered quantity of the purchase order item is more that the received quantity, this will create a receipt inspection balance. You must put away the received quantity so that a receiving inspection imbalance isn't created.

To change the quantity after you put away the received quantity, perform a miscellaneous inventory transaction.
