Create Data for Supply Availability and Allocation Report

Use the Create Data for Supply Availability and Allocation Report scheduled process to create, and then populate data into database tables for supply and allocation reports.

When to Use

Run this process regularly on a schedule to keep your data current. For background, see See What Supply is Available and Allocated.

Privileges Required

  • Perform Order Promising Server Data Refresh (MSP_PERFORM_ORDER_PROMISING_SERVER_DATA_REFRESH_PRIV)

Specifications

Use these specifications when you run the scheduled process.

Specification Description
Job Type Scheduled
Frequency One time each hour.
Time of Day Anytime
Duration Varies, depending on how you set the parameters.
Compatibility You must not run more than one instance of this scheduled process at the same time.

Parameters

Use these parameters to filter the data that the scheduled process will look at.

Parameter Description
Create Data For

Select a value:

  • All Items. Create data for all items regardless of when Promising promised them.
  • New Items. Create data only for items that Promising has promised since the last time you ran this scheduled process.
  • Items in Interval. Create data according to the interval that you specify in the Interval in Hours parameter.
Interval in Hours

Specify how far you want to look in the past.

Assume the current date is April 20, 10 AM. If you set Interval in Hours to 4, then:
  • This scheduled process will process all sales orders that Promising promised on April 20, 10 AM, to April 20, 6 AM.
  • The Supply Availability and Allocation Report will display data only for orders promised from April 20, 10 AM, to April 20, 6 AM.
Future Days

Specify how far you want to look into the future.

Assume the current date is April 20, 10 AM. If you set Future Days to 5, then:

  • This scheduled process will look at all the supply that's available on April 20, 10 AM, to April 25, 10 AM.
  • The Supply Availability and Allocation Report will display data only for supply that's available on April 20, 10 AM, to April 25, 10 AM.

Troubleshooting Information

If the scheduled process doesn't run as expected, then try these fixes:

  • Run the scheduled process less frequently.
  • Run the process during off-peak hours.
  • Review and revise the setups for your ATP and allocation rules in Global Order Promising. See Assignments and Promising Rules.
