Set Up Product Recall Lookups

To set up the product recall lookups, use the following lookup types:

  • Recall classification: It’s an extensible lookup type used to categorize a recall notice based on the impact severity of the product recall on consumers. It is seeded with the following lookup codes as per The U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulatory body.
    • Class I
    • Class II
    • Class III

    You can extend this lookup type with more lookup codes as per your business requirement.

  • Containment action code: It’s a user defined lookup type to define the reason codes to be used while completing the containment tasks. Add lookup codes as per your business needs.
    Note:

    This containment action code look up is required only if the Bypass Count and Disposal Tasks attribute under the Global tab of Recall Parameters is enabled.

To define product recall lookups, do the following:
  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, go to the following:
    • Offering: Product Management
    • Functional Area: Product Recall Management
    • Task: Manage Product Recall Lookups
  2. Search for the lookup type meanings.
  3. Define the lookup codes.
