Negotiate Rate Plans

Start the negotiation for a new rate plan in Oracle Order Management for an integrated subscription.

Use this feature to negotiate rate plans in Order Management. You can start the negotiation from the order line, and Order Management will apply the negotiation only to that line, and will not apply it to any other subscription.

Try it:

  1. Make sure you have the Negotiate Pricing Details Limited (QP_NEGOTIATE_PRICING_LIMITED) privilege.
  2. Go to the Setup and Maintenance work area, select the Sales offering, then Opt into these features:
    • Integrate Order Management with Subscription Management to Process Subscriptions
    • Rate Usage with Events
  3. Set up the integration. See Integrate Order Management with Subscription Management.
  4. Manage the sales order.
    • Go to the Order Management work area and create a sales order.
    • Add a subscription item to the sales order.
    • As an option, select a rate plan.
    • On the order line, click Negotiate in the Requested Rate Plan column.
    • Use the page that displays to negotiate your plan.
    • Go back to the Order Management work area, then finish your sales order. For example, examine the values in these attributes on the order line:
