Migrate Product Development and Product Information Management Views to Product Management

You can copy the views from the Product Development and Product Information Management work areas to Product Management using the Upgrade Product Management Data scheduled process. The migration is required since only views from Product Management will be used in Redwood pages. This consolidates all your views into a single location, creating a unified workspace.
Note:
  • This task is a one-time activity, that's, you must run the scheduled process only once to copy the existing views to the Product Management work area.
  • After migrating the views to Product Management, the views will continue to exist in the Product Development and Product Information Management work areas. You can delete the views when they aren't needed.

To migrate the views:

  1. Click Navigator > Tools > Scheduled Processes.
    The Overview page is displayed.
  2. Click Schedule New Process.
  3. Search and select the Upgrade Product Management Data scheduled process.
The Process Details dialog box is displayed.
  4. Specify the following parameters:
    • Upgrade Process: Execution
    • Functional Area: Views
    • Feature: Migrate Views Product Management Application
  5. Click Submit. The scheduled process is submitted.
After the scheduled process is completed, a copy of the views is created from the Product Development and Product Information Management work areas to Product Management.
