Lot and Serial Numbers
You can capture lot and serial specific attributes using your mobile device so you don't have to manually enter the data on another page.
This helps you efficiently capture critical information about your lot or serial controlled goods while you're moving them into your warehouse.
You can capture the lot expiration date, lot origination date, lot maturity date, and supplier lot number for lot-controlled goods, as well as the supplier serial number for serial-controlled goods, during the mobile put away transaction for standard routing or during the mobile receiving transaction for direct delivery routing.
Let’s say a lot-controlled item is configured as shelf life controlled. The lot expiration date is automatically calculated based on the lot origination date plus the number of shelf life days. You can specify the number of maturity days for lot-controlled items.
You also have the option to configure a lot-controlled item with a user-defined expiration date, which allows you to enter the lot expiration date at the time of receipt or put away.
You can also use the Supplier Serial Number Barcode attribute to capture the supplier serial number associated with the serial-controlled item at the time of receipt or put away.
