Manage Item and Item Revision Attachments

You can add, edit, delete, and preview attachments for items and revised items on the Attachments tab of an item. You can also download the attachments.

To manage attachments for an item or item revision:

  1. In the Product Management work area, search for and access the item whose attachments you want to manage.
  2. Click the Attachments tab.
  3. In Item Attachments or Item Revision Attachments, you can add attachments with the item or revision, delete attachments, or modify existing attachments.
    When you add an attachment, select the file type and attachment category, and provide the description. The attachment categories listed in the Category drop-down list are restricted to those that are associated with the item class of the item.

    Make sure that you don't inadvertently add the same attachment more than once. It's possible to add attachments with the same title, description, file, or attachment category to the same item or item revision.

    Item attachments will be available for all the revisions of the item in a particular organization.
