Overview of Item Categories

A category is a classification that’s used to group items. For example, electronics, medical devices, and so on. An item can be assigned to one or more categories in multiple catalogs to classify or organize the items for use in various processes. You can assign the current item to categories using the Categories tab of the item. Assigning categories helps manage items more efficiently, and in alignment with business rules and reporting needs.
