Checks Performed for Item Attribute Changes

The following attributes aren't updated during validation of item attribute changes.

If there are on hand inventory, pending transactions, pending in transit shipment, cycle count, and physical inventories	The Serial Number Control attribute isn't updated.
If the following are present: On hand quantity in the org. Pending transactions. Cycle count entries are present for the item. Pending physical adjustments. Existing shipment lines in the transfer order, sales order, transfer order returns for the item. Existing RMA lines for (Sales Order Return) the item. Pending in transit shipments and transfer orders. Open purchase orders.	The following attributes aren't updated: Primary Unit of Measure Secondary Unit of Measure Positive Deviation Factor Negative Deviation Factor Defaulting Control Revision Control Track in Installed Base Child Lot Enabled Grade Controlled Stock Locator Control The value for the Lot Divisible attribute isn't changed from Yes to No. However, the value can be changed from No to Yes.

When you update the Primary UOM attribute through import using FBDI, then the following validations are performed.

Downstream Application	UOM Update is Prevented If
Oracle Manufacturing	Work Order and Work Definition is checked regardless of the supply type in Manufacturing – Contract Manufacturing, Direct Item Procurement, or Outside Processing. If the item is existing in any of these, the UOM update is prevented.
Oracle Asset Management	Items classified as an Asset or if associated with an Asset in the Asset Management.
Oracle Costing	Item cost profile exists for the inventory organization that's assigned to the cost organization.
Oracle Shipping	Open shipment lines exist for the item in shipping.
Oracle Receiving	Pending receipts or completed receipts exists for the item in the organization.
Oracle Inventory	Completed inventory transactions exists for the item in the organization.
Oracle Procurement	A purchasing transaction exists for the item.
	A self-service procurement transaction exists for the item.
	A sourcing transaction exists for the item.
Oracle Order Management	Any sales orders references the item.
Oracle Sales Catalog	Item exists in the price book in sales catalog.
Oracle Opportunities	Item is referenced in any sales opportunities.
Oracle Sales Lead	A sales lead exists for the item.
Oracle Sales Forecasting	Item exists in any sales forecast.
Oracle Subscriptions	Item is referenced in subscriptions.
Oracle Fusion Cloud: Supply Chain Orchestration	Open transfer order lines are there for the item in the organization in Oracle Fusion Cloud: SCM Supply Chain Orchestration.
	Supply order references the item in Oracle Fusion Cloud: Supply Chain Orchestration.
Oracle Projects	Item is associated with a project cost transaction.
	Item is associated with a project resource.
	Item is associated with at least one requisition object in a project.
Oracle Fusion Cloud: Supply Chain and Manufacturing Common	Interclass UOM conversion exists for the item.
	Item specific Unit of Measure conversions exists.
Oracle Configurator	A configured order exists for the item.
	Item is already existing in configurator.
Oracle Pricing	Item exists in the pricing lists and other pricing entities.
Oracle Product Hub	Structure exists for the item.
	Substitute components exists for the item.
	Item is referenced in a change order.
	Existing substitute item relationship has a different UOM class.
