Inspection Plan Specifications

Add inspection characteristics or characteristic groups or both to specify the attributes of inspection. This also enables you to specify the measurements to be collected during an inspection.

On Redwood UI, you can invoke the generative AI by clicking the AI Assist button to automatically generate a list of suggested inspection plan specifications. You can then review, edit, and accept the proposed inspection plan specifications.

Note: The AI Assist button isn’t enabled by default. Your administrator needs to make this button visible using Visual Builder Studio. For more information on using Visual Builder Studio, see the Overview of Using Visual Builder Studio topic on Oracle Help Center.

For the Resource inspection plan, you can only add non-item inspection characteristics.

For other plans you can add both item and non-item inspection characteristics.

You can mark an inspection characteristic as optional. During inspection, for an optional characteristic, you may or may not enter a result value.

Also, you can set an inspection characteristic to automatically default the result value from the target value associated with the specification line during an inspection. If required, during inspection, you can change the default value of an inspection characteristic.
