How do I create inventory zones and assign workers to zones?

Use the Inventory Zones and Zone Worker Assignments task to create zones and then assign workers to them.

Create a New Zone
  1. In the Inventory Management work area, click , select Inventory Zones task, and then click Create.
  2. Enter the Zone Name and Description for the zone, and then click Create.
  3. After you create a zone, add supported activities, subinventory, and locators.
    1. In the Activities section, click , and then select supported activities.
    2. In the subinventories and locators section, click , and then search for and select subinventories and locators.
  4. Click Add to include them in the zone.
  5. Click Activate to make the zone active.
Assign Workers to Zone
  1. In the Inventory Management work area, click , select the Zone Worker Assignments task or select in-app navigation to go to the Zone Worker Assignments page.
  2. Search for and select the zone name, and then click .
    View current assignments by zone or by worker. Use additional filter chips, such as Status and Activity Type for advanced search.
  3. Select the activity type to assign workers.
  4. Select Assign workers from other zones or Assign new workers option to select workers, and then click Assign.

Alternatively, you can assign zones to workers.

  1. In the Zone Worker Assignments page, click Zone filter chip, select Worker, and then click Assign.
  2. Select Zone name and Activity Type, and then click Assign.
