Destination Types

The Destination Type column in the Receipt form and the Receiving Transactions form shows where the receipt will need to go next to be processed.

Here are the available destination types:

• Inventory - Items are received into a specific warehouse location and are tracked in stock.
• Expense - Items are delivered directly to the requesting user for immediate use without being added to the inventory.
• Work Order - Items are delivered to a manufacturing location.
• Receiving - Items are received into a receiving location to be moved to their final destination.

When the destination type shows Inventory, Expense, or Work Order, the transaction being entered will be the final transaction or the deliver transaction needed to complete the receiving process.
