Use Workflow Approvals for Item Associations
In Product Management, you can route changes to the item organization associations or
item supplier associations through a workflow approval process in two ways:
- Assign an item to a new or existing change order. The change order page is displayed. On the Affected Objects tab, click the item number to open the item within the context of the change order.
- Create a change order, add an item on the Affected Objects tab, and save the change order. Now, click the item that you added to open it.
In both the methods, the item page is displayed with a header titled In the context of <change order name>. Click the Associations tab, where you can add or update the associations. After you complete all the changes and click Save, the changes are saved as a redline in the change order. You can then submit the change order for approval.
