Related Item Subtypes

A related item is an item relationship between two existing items. How the two items are related is defined by a subtype.

Multiple subtypes for related items are predefined, and you can define additional subtypes using the Manage Related Item Subtypes task.

Predefined values are:

• Accessories

• Collateral

• Complimentary

• Conflict

• Cross-sell

• Fulfillment

• Impact

• Mandatory Change

• Merge

• Migration

• Optional Change

• Option charge

• Prerequisite

• Promotional upgrade

• Repair to

• Service

• Split

• Substitute Supersede

• Upsell

• Warranty

Many of these are used in downstream applications. For example:

• Substitute or supersede items are identified in Planning
• Upsell, Cross-sell, Complimentary, or Promotional Upgrade items used in Order Management
• Warranty or Service items used in service contracts
