Check In and Check Out Attachments

You can check in, check out, cancel check out and upload large files asynchronously on the Attachments tab.

Remember that the asynchronous operation is supported while uploading the large files, but not during check in and check out. If you check out an attachment, the application prevents other users from cancelling the check out, ensuring that only you, as the user, who has checked out the file, can cancel the checkout. You can view revisions of an attachment and set a version as active. The Workflow History tab provides all the attachment updates.

You can navigate to the new More Actions button from the Attachments tab → Item Revision Attachments and view the following options:
  • Check In
  • Check Out
  • Cancel Check Out
Note: You can leverage business rules to show or hide certain columns in the attachments table conditionally.
