Required Item Attributes

When you define items, you must enter values for certain attributes if the related attribute contains a value. The following table lists attributes that are required to be defined if the related attribute has also been defined.

Required Attribute	Related Attribute
Service Duration	Required if Contract Item Type is set to Service or Warranty.
Service Duration Period	Required if Contract Item Type is set to Warranty.
Demand Time Fence Days	Required if Demand Time Fence is set to User-defined.
Outside Processing Unit Type	Required if Outside Processing Item is set to Yes.
Planning Time Fence Days	Required if Demand Time Fence is set to User-defined.
Planning Time Fence Days	Required if Planning Time Fence is set to User-defined.
Release Time Fence Days	Required if Release Time Fence is set to User-defined.
Service Duration	Required if Service Duration Period isn'tNull.
Shelf Life Days	Required if Lot Expiration (Shelf Life) Control is set to Item shelf life days.
Source Organization	Required if Replenishment Source Type is set to Inventory or Subinventory.
Starting Lot Number	Required if Lot Control is set to Full lot control, and Lot Generation Organization Parameter is set to Item Level.
Starting Lot Prefix	Required if Lot Control is set to Full lot control, and Lot Generation Organization Parameter is set to Item Level.
Substitution Window Days	Required if Substitution Window is set to User Defined.
