View Hyperparameter-Tuning Notifications in the Planning Advisor

When forecasting nodes (combinations) have been successfully tuned in your demand or demand and supply plan, you'll receive notifications in the Planning Advisor. You can view these notifications to analyze the results of hyperparameter tuning.

Before you start

Hyperparameter-tuning notifications will be available in the Planning Advisor if these conditions are met:
  • You've configured a user-defined forecasting profile of the Bayesian machine-learning type for hyperparameter tuning. Specifically, you've added and enabled the HypertuneAdvisor forecasting parameter and optionally enabled the HypertuneAdvisorPageLayout forecasting parameter. For details, see the topic titled How You Set Up Hyperparameter-Tuning Notifications in the Planning Advisor.
  • Hyperparameter tuning has been successful for at least one forecasting node in your plan.

In this case, the Planning Advisor menu item will be available on the More Actions menu for your plan, and the number of notifications will be displayed in parentheses after the menu item.

For a plan run, there can be only one notification of the Summary of hyperparameter tuning type. The number also includes notifications for previous plan runs

Here's what to do

  1. On the page for your plan, on the More Actions menu, select Planning Advisor.
The Planning Advisor opens in a drawer.
  2. Select the notification of the Summary of hyperparameter tuning type.
The details of the notification are displayed. To understand the details, see the topic titled Hyperparameter-Tuning Details in the Planning Advisor.

The name of the forecasting profile through which the hyperparameter tuning was done is provided beneath the heading in the drawer.

  3. Select the View More button.
This button is available if you've added the HypertuneAdvisorPageLayout forecasting parameter to your forecasting profile and selected a user-defined page as the value.

You should have created this page with tables and graphs to analyze the result of hyperparameter tuning. For information on the measures for the tables and graphs, see the topic titled Measures for Hyperparameter Tuning.

When the button is clicked, the page will open on a new tab for the plan.

  4. To return to the summary view in the Planning Advisor, select the Planning advisor link.
To close the Planning Advisor, select the Close icon.
