How do I use the Demand Cutoff Date and Demand Cutoff Date Offset parameters for the Min-Max Planning Report?
The Demand Cutoff Date tells the application to consider demand up until the date that you enter.
For sales orders and transfer orders, the application uses the Scheduled Ship Date to determine whether demand falls within the cutoff date range.
The value that you enter for the Demand Cutoff Date Offset is used by the application to consider demand within the current date minus the offset number of days that you specify. For example, if you enter a value of 2 for the Demand Cutoff Date Offset, the application considers demand through the current date minus two days.
When you specify both the Demand Cutoff Date and Demand Cutoff Date Offset parameters, the Min-Max Planning report considers demand that falls within the resulting date range. The Demand Cutoff Date defines the beginning of the range, and the current date minus the offset defines the end of the range.
For example, consider the values in this table:
|
Field |
Value |
|---|---|
|
Demand Cutoff Date |
25-Jan |
|
Current Date |
31-Jan |
|
Demand Cutoff Date Offset |
2 |
The Min-Max Planning report runs for all demand with a scheduled ship date between 25-Jan to 29-Jan (31-Jan – 2 days = 29-Jan).
