How User-Defined Demand Priority Attributes Are Added
The set of demand priority attributes includes predefined attributes and attributes added by your enterprise, referred to as user-defined attributes.
- Descriptive flex fields: You can add the user-defined attributes from the Setup and Maintenance work area. These attributes are supported for externally sourced sales order demands only, and not for demands sourced from Oracle Fusion Cloud Order Management.
- Using planning attributes: These attributes are supported for externally sourced sales order demands and demands sourced from Oracle Fusion Cloud Order Management.
View and Use User-defined Display Attributes
The Supplies and Demands tab on the Plan Inputs page displays three user-defined planning attributes of the display type for each sales order line. You can enter values for these attributes in Oracle Fusion Cloud Order Management or import them by using File-Based Data Import (FBDI).
Use these attributes to assign business-specific values that can be referenced in demand priority rules. For example, the DA_Instruction2 attribute can contain a value of 1,000,000, which Oracle Backlog Management uses to prioritize the corresponding sales order.
The display attributes shown on the Supplies and Demands tab are also available in the Additional Information column of the Backlog Analysis page, where planners can review the attribute values during backlog analysis in a drawer.
You can configure character-based display attributes on the Manage Planning Attributes page. To allow users to enter values for these attributes in Oracle Fusion Cloud Order Management and use them in demand priority rules, set Allow User-Entered to Yes.
