Set Up Connected Assets and Equipment
Enterprises and manufacturing plants often use smart equipment and assets that can generate and receive operational data and alerts. Operational data can include events related to production updates, such as details on quantities produced, quality inspection results, operational parameters, and alerts related to machine errors or asset failures.
Operational data can also include commands related to set points and program information to be configured on the equipment. You can define set points in a work definition operation, which are used by the equipment to execute the operation for an item corresponding to the work definition.
You can use the data from smart equipment and assets to automate tasks in Manufacturing and Maintenance, such as automatically updating production quantities, performing quality inspections, collecting process parameters, and generating exceptions and maintenance work orders for faults and errors.
