Access Control Lists for Manufacturers
Here are some details on access control lists for manufacturers.
Enable Access Control
Enable the profile option EGP_MANUFACTURER_REDWOOD_ENABLED. Also, you must opt in to the feature Redwood: Secure Manufacturers Using Access Control Lists.
- Criteria-based access control for manufacturers is supported only on Redwood
pages. Classic pages don’t support it and continue to use data security
configured at the individual manufacturer level.
If you enable criteria-based access control, it’s recommended not to use both Redwood and the Classic pages, because using criteria-based access control and existing manufacturer security concurrently in the same environment isn’t supported and can result in inconsistent manufacturer access.
- Rebuild the manufacturer index after creating permission sets and activating your teams to ensure data security is applied the first time you opt in to the feature Redwood: Secure Manufacturers Using Access Control Lists.

Restrict Access to Clipboard and Recently Visited
You can restrict user’s access to the Clipboard and the Recently Visited sections on manufacturers by assigning the view or manage permissions. You then navigate to the various tabs of a manufacturer depending on the permissions defined in the item access control list. Users can view the manufacturers in the recently visited fragment if they've the view or manage permission on the manufacturer.
