Disaggregation of Collected or Loaded Measure Data During the Refresh
When you use the Orchestrate Refresh Measures Processes scheduled process to refresh measures that are collected or loaded at an aggregated level, the refreshed measure data is disaggregated to the stored levels when there are changes to the plan members.
Note: To enable disaggregation of refreshed measure data, add
the incrementalDisaggregate=true profile value to the
SCP_PARAMETER_OVERRIDES profile option code at the site level. To improve the
performance of data disaggregation for the plan, add the
enableParallelDisaggMeasure=true profile value to the
SCP_PARAMETER_OVERRIDES profile option code. After making these changes, run the plan
with the Refresh with current data option selected in the Run
plan drawer before you use the Orchestrate Refresh Measures
Processes scheduled process.
Note these points:
- This functionality is relevant to only demand plans.
- The refreshed measure data will be disaggregated on the basis of the updated hierarchies.
- The measure data will be refreshed and disaggregated regardless of whether it changed since the last plan run with the Refresh with current data option selected in the Run plan drawer or the last run of the Orchestrate Refresh Measures Processes scheduled process (whichever is later).
- The refresh and disaggregation will be based on the availability of collected or loaded data and the values in the Demand Plan Horizon Days and Demand History Display Days fields on the Plan Horizons tab in the Plan definition step in the guided process for creating or editing the plan.
Consider this example:
- Category A contains five items.
- A value of 60 is collected or loaded for Category A.
- Each of the five items in Category A receives a value of 12.
For simplicity, an equal split is being assumed.
- An item is added to Category A after a hierarchy update, but the collected or loaded measure data isn't changed.
- When the Orchestrate Refresh Measures Processes scheduled process is run, the value of 60 for Category A will now be disaggregated to six items, and each item will receive a value of 10.
