Run the Orchestrate Refresh Measures Processes Scheduled Process

Use these steps to submit the Orchestrate Refresh Measures Processes scheduled process using a measure catalog containing only a subset of your plan's measures:

You can define a job set to immediately run the Orchestrate Refresh Measures Processes scheduled process after you run the Load Planning Data from Flat Files scheduled process.

1. In the Scheduled Processes work area, select Schedule New Process on the Overview page.
2. In the Schedule New Process dialog box, search for and select Orchestrate Refresh Measures Processes, and then select OK.
3. In the Process Details dialog box, do the following:
   • Plan: Select a plan name.
     • Plans that haven't run or are in the error status are unavailable for selection.
     • Demand plans that have planning level profiles are unavailable for selection.
     • Plans that have been copied with reference to a base plan but haven't yet been run while being refreshed with current data are unavailable for selection.
   • Measure Catalog: Select a measure catalog.
     Note: Preferably, create and use a measure catalog with the measures that need to be refreshed. Otherwise, the measure catalog associated with the plan will be used, and performance will be affected because the plan measure catalog will contain several measures that aren't relevant to the scheduled process. Only measures that are stored, aren't calculated, and aren't editable are refreshed by the scheduled process.
   • Refresh Measure Data Incrementally: Select one of the following:
     • For existing members only: This value is the default. When this value is selected, new members and their measure data aren't added to the plan. Removed members and their measure data aren't deleted from the plan.

       This value should be selected for demand and supply, replenishment, sales and operations, and supply plans. The value can be optionally selected for demand plans.

     • For existing, new, or removed members: When you select this value for a demand plan, the scheduled process performs a refresh of the plan's master data.
       • New members and the associated measure data are added to the plan.
       • Existing members that weren't within the plan scope but now are because of hierarchy changes are added to the plan along with the associated measure data.
       • Existing members that were earlier within the plan scope but now aren't because of hierarchy changes are removed from the plan along with the associated measure data.
       • Members that have been deleted are removed from the plan along with the associated measure data.

4. Select Advanced, and select the Schedule tab. You can run the scheduled process as soon as possible or according to a schedule.
5. Select Submit.
   The Confirmation dialog box opens and displays the process ID. You can use this process ID to search for the scheduled process result in the Scheduled Processes work area. For details, see the log file for the Refresh Collected Plan Measures child process within the Orchestrate Refresh Measures Processes scheduled process.

   You can also view messages for the scheduled process in the Plan Messages table.

   If there are issues, resolve them by running the plan with the Refresh with current data option selected in the Run plan drawer.
