How to Enable Project-Specific Supply Planning

How you enable project-specific supply planning depends on which scenario is applicable to your enterprise:

Scenario How to Enable

Your enterprise uses Oracle Supply Chain Execution Cloud and has already opted in to the Project-Driven Supply Chain feature.

Use one of the two offerings:

  • Manufacturing and Supply Chain Materials Management

  • Supply Chain Planning

Feature to enable: Plan Project-Specific Supply

Your enterprise uses Oracle Supply Chain Execution Cloud and hasn't opted in to the Project-Driven Supply Chain feature.

Use one of the two offerings:

  • Manufacturing and Supply Chain Materials Management

  • Supply Chain Planning

Features to enable:

  • Project-Driven Supply Chain

  • Plan Project-Specific Supply

Note: Perform the setups that are required for the Project-Driven Supply Chain feature. For details, refer to the Project-Driven Supply Chain chapter in the Implementing Manufacturing and Supply Chain Materials Management guide.

Your enterprise doesn't use Oracle Supply Chain Execution Cloud.

Use the offering: Supply Chain Planning

Features to enable:

  • Project-Driven Supply Chain

  • Plan Project-Specific Supply

How to Enable the Backlog Management Work Area

To enable the Backlog Management work area, you must perform two setup tasks.

You can perform these tasks in any order, but you must do both before a user can access the work area.

  • Opt in to the Order Backlog Management feature

  • Assign a job role to the applicable users

Opt In to the Order Backlog Management Feature

You perform this opt in one time for your overall site.

  • Offering: Supply Chain Planning

  • Feature: Order Backlog Management

Assign the Applicable Job Role to the Applicable Users

Assign the predefined Backlog Manager job role, or a job role with similar privileges that your enterprise defined, to the user associated to each of your order backlog managers.

How to Enable the Replenishment Planning Work Area

To enable the Replenishment Planning work area, you must perform two setup tasks.

You can perform these tasks in any order, but you must do both before a user can access the work area.

  • Opt in to the Replenishment Planning feature

  • Assign a job role to the applicable users

Opt In to the Replenishment Planning Feature

You perform this opt in one time for your overall site.

  • Offering: Supply Chain Planning

  • Feature: Replenishment Planning

Assign the Applicable Job Role to the Applicable Users

Assign the predefined Replenishment Planner job role, or a job role with similar privileges that your enterprise defined, to the user associated to each of your replenishment planners.
