Hiring Manager Experience
Hiring Manager Experience is delivered as part of the Oracle HCM Cloud and provides access to hiring manager functions with a simplified Web experience. Hiring managers can view active candidates, active requisitions they own, and job submissions, including associated files. They can approve, decline, or pass requisitions and offers. They can move candidates forward, enter comments about them, or reject them where applicable. They can evaluate candidates by comparing their submitted details side by side, filling evaluation management questionnaires, skill ratings, or recommendations.
Hiring Manager Experience requires the following product pairing:
Oracle HCM Cloud R12.PB5 and Oracle Taleo Enterprise Cloud Service 15B.6, as well as any future monthly or quarterly updates of those versions (Oracle HCM Cloud R13.0 and Oracle Taleo Enterprise Cloud Service R17.0 are not yet supported).
The pairing is done with Version 1 of the out-of-the-box (OTTB) integration between Oracle Fusion Applications Cloud Service and Oracle Taleo Enterprise Cloud Service.
Hiring Manager Experience is available on Oracle HCM Cloud. You can access it by clicking My Team then Hiring from the Navigator page (Navigator > My Team > Hiring).

Hiring Manager Experience Configuration
Hiring Manager Experience is configured in Oracle Taleo Enterprise Cloud Service.
Oracle HCM Cloud and Oracle Taleo Enterprise Cloud Service environments must be successfully connected. The two environments are not configured automatically and customers must log an SR to request that the environments be paired together.
Activate Settings
Two settings must be activated in Oracle Taleo Enterprise Cloud Service.
Set the Enable Mobile setting to Yes to turn on Hiring Manager Experience (Taleo > Configuration > General Configuration > Settings). Note that this setting is used by both the Hiring Manager Experience and HCM Mobile as these two products share the same Web services.
Set the Evaluation Questions and Questionnaires Activation setting to Yes (Taleo > Recruiting Administration > Settings).
Configure User Types
A Mobile user type with a specific permission must be created in Oracle Taleo Enterprise Cloud Service.
Create a Mobile user type and grant the Access Mobile permission (Taleo > Configuration > SmartOrg Administration > User Types). This is a security requirement to ensure that the right users gain access to Taleo services either via the Hiring Manager Experience or HCM Mobile.
Assign the Mobile user type to users (Taleo > Configuration > SmartOrg Administration > User Accounts).
Configure Candidate Selection Workflow
In Hiring Manager Experience, to move candidates into the selection workflow, candidates are filtered into four groupings:
New
Review
Evaluation
Selection
The New and Evaluation groupings are automatically determined for the product. The Review and Selection groupings are configured using candidate selection workflow steps and statuses. The candidate selection workflow (CSW) provides the framework to move candidates through the hiring process. When candidates are moved forward in the selection workflow, they are moved to the completed status of the step. Hiring managers cannot skip steps or statuses when moving candidates. Also note that the candidate selection workflow does not support multi-rejection statuses.
Below are the procedures to configure the Review and Selection groupings using the candidate selection workflow feature in Oracle Taleo Enterprise Cloud Service.
To configure the Review step and status in the CSW:
Navigate to Configuration > Recruiting Administration > Candidate Selection Workflow.
In the Workflows page, locate and select a specific hiring manager-related CSW. The Workflow Details page opens.
In the Steps Usage tab, choose the step you want to associate with the Review grouping. Note the name of the step as you will need it later.
Click Cancel to go back to the Workflows page.
Click the Steps tab.
Click on the step you want to associate with the Review grouping (the step you noted previously). The Step Details page opens.
In the Statuses Usage tab, click on the status you want to associate with the Review grouping. The Status Details page opens.
In the Include Status in Submission Filter (Mobile Only) section, select the To be reviewed option. This associates the step and status with the Review grouping.
Click Done.
To configure the Selection step and status in the CSW:
Navigate to Configuration > Recruiting Administration > Candidate Selection Workflow.
In the Workflows page, locate and select a specific hiring manager-related CSW. The Workflow Details page opens.
