Suggested Skills to Set as Learning Outcomes

Use Skills Advisor for Learning processes to get skills suggestions that you can accept or reject as learning outcomes when you configure an Oracle Learning course or specialization. When you accept a suggestion, you can also set the skill level.

By default, suggestions are based on the course or specialization title, description, and short description. But you can create filtered lists with other criteria to use to generate skill suggestions, including these criteria:

Criteria Applies To
Learning item type Only courses or specializations
Featured items Only featured items
Default view mode Only items visible in the learning catalog
City Course offerings in a specific city
Delivery mode Courses offered as self-paced, instructor-led or blended
Learning outcomes Learning items that already have or don't have specific learning outcomes defined
Skill and skill level Learning items that already have or don't have specific skills or skill levels defined
Publish start and end dates Learning items published in specific date ranges
Created by Learning items created by specific learning administrators

You can also create process templates on the Skills Advisor for Learning page. The templates use different filter lists to generate skill suggestions for specific sets of courses and specialization. For example, you create separate process templates to get skill suggestions for all learning from SkillSoft and all learning from LinkedIn.

Only suggestions that you or another learning administrator accepts become learning outcomes. And you can run the skills advisor process on items you already curated.

You need to complete and save the general information for all courses and specializations that you want to get skills suggestions and skill levels for. Then next time the Skills Advisor for Learning background process runs, the results will include suggestions for those courses and specializations.
