Add and Track Interactions with a Candidate

You can add interactions you have with a candidate and track them in the Interactions tab. The default interaction types are by phone, email, text message, and in person.

You can add an interaction from the Candidate Search page and from within a candidate profile, a job application, a prospect record.
  1. Open a candidate file.
  2. In the Actions menu, select Add Interaction.
  3. On the Add Interaction page, select the type of interaction, enter the date when the interaction occurred, and enter a note about the interaction.
  4. Click Save and Close.

Results:

The interaction you created appears in the Interactions tab.

If you add an interaction for a candidate profile, candidate job application, or prospect record, the note is recorded differently:

  • When you add an interaction note in a candidate profile, the note is recorded in the candidate profile, in the context of the candidate profile.

  • When you add an interaction note in a candidate profile as part of a candidate pool, the note is recorded in the candidate profile, in the context of the candidate pool.

  • When you add an interaction note in a candidate job application, the note is recorded in the job application, in the context of the job requisition.

  • When you add an interaction note in a prospect record, the note is recorded in the prospect record, in the context of the job requisition.

When you have several interactions, you can use the View Interactions filter to filter the list of interactions. Depending on the context where you added the interaction, filter values will differ:

  • With Candidate for This Job Application
  • With Pool Member
  • Current Prospect Candidate
  • All Other Candidate Interactions
  • With Hiring Team
  • With Agent
