How You Add Artificial Intelligence Recommended Candidates to Succession Plans

If your Oracle Cloud administrator has activated AI apps and performed the required setup tasks, you can view and add artificial intelligence (AI) recommended candidates to succession plans.

The candidate recommendations are based on AI machine learning and web-scale data. Note that after your administrator enables the AI recommended candidates feature, you can no longer use the best-fit feature to find candidates for succession plans.

Add Recommended Candidates

  1. Open the succession plan and expand the Candidates section.
  2. Select the Recommended Candidates option in the Add menu.

    You can see the Recommended Candidates page. You see the recommendations in order of their strength.

    The recommendations are based on the model profile for the succession plan job.

    • For position based succession plans, the job associated with the position is the succession plan job.
    • For incumbent based succession plans, the incumbent's job is the succession plan job.
  3. Select the candidates you want to add to the succession plan.

    You can refine the list of recommended succession candidates by applying business unit, grade, and location filters. You can select multiple business units, grades, and locations. You can see only recommended candidates who match the filter criteria.

    You can also sort the recommended succession candidates. By default, the candidates are listed ordered by the recommendation strength. But you can also sort the candidates by these attributes:

    • Name
    • Job
    • Location
    Tip: Click Select All to select all the recommended candidates.
  4. Click Add to add the recommended candidates to the succession plan.

Considerations for Adding AI Recommended Candidates

  • AI recommendations are based on employee talent profiles. To view appropriate recommendations, HR specialists need to do these tasks:
    1. Set up job model profiles and person profiles.
    2. Assign a job for employees.
  • You can see recommended candidates based on the candidate security defined for you.
  • Even if a recommended candidate has multiple assignments, you see the candidate only once on the Recommended Candidates page.
  • If you change the job or position or incumbent of a succession plan, any recommended candidates that are already added as candidates will remain as candidates. You need to manually remove them from the succession plan if you don't want them to be plan candidates.
