What attributes determine if a candidate has moved to plan role?
This table indicates the attributes that determine if a candidate has moved to the role defined in the succession plan for the different types of succession plans.
Plan Type |
Attributes |
---|---|
Incumbent |
Job, Department |
Job |
Job, Business Unit, Department, and Grade |
Position |
Position, Business Unit, and Department |
When a candidate's role changes, the attributes defined in the succession plan are compared with the corresponding attributes of the new role of the candidate. A candidate is considered to have moved to the plan role only if these attributes match and alerts are sent for a candidate moving to the plan role.
Note: If an attribute isn't specified in the succession
plan, then that attribute isn't compared. For example, if Department isn't specified in a Position type succession plan, then only
the position and the business unit of the new role of the candidate
are compared with those defined in the succession plan.
