Example of How a Course, Offerings, and Activities Work Together in Oracle Learning

A course contains one or more offerings, which in turn contain one or more activities. Each offering covers the same learning, just using a different method, time, or place. You only need to complete one offering to complete the course.

In this example the Health and Safety course contains these three offerings, each with their own activities:
  • An eLearning, or self-paced offering that learners everywhere can complete at any time
    • The associated activity consists of SCORM content.
  • A blending offering that's available in New York in 2021
    • One associated activity is an instructor-led training (ILT) session in March from 8:00a to 4:00p.
    • The other associated activity is video content that learners complete online.
  • An ILT offering in Atlanta in 2021
    • The two associated ILT sessions are in April from 8:00a to 4:00p
