How You Provide Feedback for Performance Goals

Feedback is an important part of the performance goals workflow. It helps employees improve their individual performance and achieve organizational objectives.

Employees and their managers can request feedback for the employee's performance goals. You get a notification when anyone in your organization requests your feedback. The notification lists the goals for which you need to provide feedback and the due date.

Provide Feedback

You can provide feedback in these ways:

  • Use the notification that you receive.

  • Check feedback requests on your Feedback page.

To provide feedback using the notification that you receive:

  1. Open the notification that lists the goals for which you need to provide feedback.

  2. Click Provide Feedback.

  3. You see the feedback requests in the Feedback Requests About Others section of your Feedback page with these details:

    • Due date for the feedback

    • Who requested the feedback and when

    • Goal name

  4. Click the feedback link.

  5. On the Performance Goal Feedback page, provide your feedback and click Submit.

To provide feedback by checking the feedback requests on your Feedback page:

  1. Go to Me > Career and Performance > Feedback.

  2. Expand the Feedback Requests About Others section.

  3. You can identify the new requests by their New status. Click the feedback link.

  4. On the Performance Goal Feedback page, provide your feedback and click Submit.

Revise Feedback

You may sometimes get requests to revise the feedback you provided for a performance goal. The administrator or HR specialist of an employee may want more details regarding the employee's performance.

You can revise feedback in these ways:

  • Use the notification that you receive.

  • Check feedback that you have given on your Feedback page.

To revise feedback provided for performance goals using the notification that you receive:

  1. Open the notification about the feedback revision request.

  2. View the request details.

  3. Click Revise Feedback.

  4. Update the feedback given and click Submit.

To revise feedback that you have given from your Feedback page:

  1. Go to Me > Career and Performance > Feedback.

  2. Expand the Feedback Requests About Others section.

  3. The status of the completed feedback requests that you have been asked to revise is now In Progress. Click the feedback link.

  4. On the Performance Goal Feedback page, revise your feedback and click Submit.
