Cancel and Redraft Job Offers Using a One-Step Process

You can enable a profile option to let recruiting users cancel and redraft job offers using a simple one-step process.

  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, click the Tasks icon.
  2. Click Search.
  3. Search for the task Manage Administrator Profile Values.
  4. Click the task name.
  5. On the Manage Administrator Profile Values page, search for the profile option code ORA_IRC_OFFER_CANCEL_REDRAFT_ENABLED.
  6. Set the profile value at the Site level to Y.
  7. Click Save and Close.

What to do next

You need to grant users the following privileges so they can view the Cancel Offer action and Redraft Offer action after a job application has reached the HR phase.
  • Cancel Job Offer (IRC_CANCEL_JOB_OFFER_PRIV), using the delivered or custom duty role.
  • Redraft Job Offer After HR Phase (IRC_REDRAFT_JOB_OFFER_AFTER_HR_PHASE_PRIV), using the delivered or custom duty role.

These two privileges are granted by default to the Human Resource Specialist role through the Address Job Offer duty role, and to the Recruiting Manager role through the Manage Job Offer by Recruiting Manager duty role. You should grant those duty roles, or create a reduced custom version to fit your needs. For example, if you want to allow users to redraft job offers but not cancel them, you need to copy the appropriate duty role and remove the elements you don't want to include. You then need to resubmit your data role after including the appropriate duty role in your hierarchy, and the appropriate data security policies will be generated. Remember that the Recruiting Manager role has a data security policy based on the person security profile in addition to the policies for the Recruiter, based only on ownership and subordinate hierarchy.
