Deactivate Countries in a Geography Hierarchy Structure

You can deactivate countries in the geography hierarchy structure to prevent those countries from being available throughout Recruiting.

Deactivating countries from the geography hierarchy structure prevents these countries from being used in geography hierarchies, but also removes these countries from areas defining available geographies based on the geography hierarchy structure directly.

When you deactivate a country, you can activate it again to add it back to the geography structure. Changes you make to the countries of a geography hierarchy structure don’t impact the currently active geography hierarchy; inactive countries remain available in the current geography hierarchy. However, you won't be able to activate a new geography hierarchy which contains inactive countries.

When you deactivate countries, you should activate a new geography hierarchy to avoid having inactive countries in the current geography hierarchy. Otherwise, there could be situations where candidates would experience inconsistent behaviors where they search for jobs using locations which will never return any results.
