Invite Candidates to Apply on Job Requisitions Not Posted

You can invite candidates to apply on a job requisition that's currently not visible to other candidates. This could be the case if your organization wants to fill a high-level job or even a replacement and they want to keep it confidential.

  1. On the Job Requisitions page, open a job requisition.
  2. In the Configuration section, click Edit.
  3. Select the option Allow Candidates to Apply When Not Posted.
  4. Click Save.
  5. You now need to add candidates to the job requisition using the Add Prospect action or the Add to Job Requisition action.

Results:

Candidates receive an email containing a link to apply for the job. Candidates are redirected to an external or internal career site depending on the candidate type. For a job that's not posted, using this link is the only way candidates can apply for the job as it won't be there in the job list on the career site.

If the job requisition is posted externally and you enable the option Allow Candidates to Apply When Not Posted, employees will be able to apply to the requisition because they can access the job details page on the internal career site. Requisitions posted externally appear on the internal career site to allow employees to refer other people. If you don't want employees to apply to the requisition, you need to disable the option.

You can change the value of the Allow Candidates to Apply When Not Posted option in all phases of the requisition lifecycle except when the state of the phase is Canceled, Filled, or Rejected.
