What attributes determine if a candidate has moved to plan role?

This table indicates the attributes that determine if a candidate has moved to the role defined in the succession plan for the different types of succession plans.

Plan Type

Attributes

Incumbent

Job, Department

Job

Job, Business Unit, Department, and Grade

Position

Position, Business Unit, and Department

When a candidate's role changes, the attributes defined in the succession plan are compared with the corresponding attributes of the new role of the candidate. A candidate is considered to have moved to the plan role only if these attributes match and alerts are sent for a candidate moving to the plan role.

Note: If an attribute isn't specified in the succession plan, then that attribute isn't compared. For example, if Department isn't specified in a Position type succession plan, then only the position and the business unit of the new role of the candidate are compared with those defined in the succession plan.
