Skill Enrichment and Curation

The Skills Library Enrichment Advisor is a new process that leverages the power of Oracle AI to help you enrich your skill library for your business needs and provides you the flexibility of curating the AI enriched skills. When this process is run, Oracle AI suggests new skills it has identified in your transactions. Each skill suggestion is assigned a confidence score based on the relevance of the skill to your organization.

In the advisor, you can set a confidence score threshold, which allows:
  • Skill that receives a score of this value or higher to be automatically added to your designated Skills item catalog without your review, OR

  • Skill receiving a score above this value, but below the approval score value, to be added to your Skills item catalog in a Pending status. Note that skills in this status are only visible to catalog administrators, giving them the ability to review these items either in Microsoft Excel or on the Items Catalog page. Skills that are below the level of the Pending threshold won’t get added for any review.

  • You can set any skill you review as Approved or Rejected. Only Approved skills are available to end users.

To configure and run the process, perform the following:
  1. Select My Client Groups > Learning > Advisor Processes > Add > Skills Library Enrichment.
  2. Enter a name and description for the process.
  3. Specify the confidence score values to filter skills for your review and for auto-approval. If you don’t specify any confidence score value, you’ll need to review all skill suggestions manually.
  4. In the Default Content Item Value Set field, select the skills item catalog to which you want the AI skill suggestions to be added. You can't choose the Oracle-delivered catalog, as that's read-only. You can choose any other catalog that you are able to edit, add, and delete skills.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Select the process and click Run Process.
  7. When the process completes, click Download and Update. This downloads a Microsoft Excel workbook where skill suggestions are added by Oracle AI.
To review the Microsoft Excel workbook and upload the skills to your skills item catalog, perform the following:
  1. Review the skills that you want to add or remove and select an approval status in the Curation Status column.

  2. You can also select a different catalog in the Item Catalog Name column.

  3. On the Oracle Visual Builder tab in the Microsoft Excel plug-in, click Upload Changes.

    Note:
    • Before you review the Microsoft Excel workbook, you need to download and install the Desktop Integration Installer tool from Navigator > Tools.
    • To view this process, an administrator needs to have the functional security privilege, WLF_MANAGE_BULK_SKILLS_LIBRARY_ENRICHMENT.

You can verify if the skills are added to the Skills item catalog with the curation status you chose, on the Item Catalogs page (My Client Groups > Profiles > Item Catalogs).

Skills can also be curated directly on the Item Catalogs page. You can set a skill you review as Approved or Rejected. Only Approved skills are available to end users.
