Collect Additional Information Using Flexfields

You can configure an application flow to collect additional information from candidates using Person Extensible Flexfields in PER_PERSON_EIT_EFF. The flexfields appear in the Extra Information block and candidates can provide their responses.

This information is stored in the candidate's job application and also becomes available as part of the candidate profile. When a candidate applies for a subsequent job, the fields in the Extra Information block are prefilled. These values are defaulted from the candidate's profile, using the information the candidate provided when they last applied. The candidate can edit this defaulted information before submitting the new job application. This happens when the additional information is presented in either type of flow: a job application flow or a request information flow.

When a recruiter creates a job application for a candidate, any values currently in the additional information section of the candidate profile become part of the new job application. Also, a recruiter or user can update or add additional information to a job application, if they have the privilege Update Candidate Job Application (IRC_UPDATE_CANDIDATE_JOB_APPLICATION_DATA). That updated version isn't presented to the candidate.
