Process Contingent Workers as External Candidates
You can decide to process contingent workers as internal or external candidates to align with the business practices and processes of your organization. By default, contingent workers are processed as internal candidates.
Before you decide to process contingent workers are external candidates, make sure that:

All job applications of contingent workers are in terminal status.

Users (including employees) aren't active on Oracle Fusion Cloud Recruiting. This is to avoid the creation of any new candidate job applications.
Here's what to do

Submit the Contingent Worker Scheduled Process

Modify the Contingent Worker Role Privilege
Activate the Contingent Worker Setting

In the Setup and Maintenance work area, go to:

Offering: Recruiting and Candidate Experience

Functional Area: Recruiting and Candidate Experience Management

Task: Enterprise Recruiting and Candidate Experience Information

Expand the Recruiting Management section and click Edit.

Select the option Contingent Worker is External Candidate.
- Click Save.
Submit the Contingent Worker Scheduled Process
You need to submit the scheduled process Classify Contingent Workers in Recruiting in the Scheduled Processes work area to classify contingent workers as external candidates in the recruiting process.
Modify the Contingent Worker Role Privilege
By default, the privilege Access Internal Candidate Experience (IRC_ACCESS_INTERNAL_CANDIDATE_EXPERIENCE) is granted to the Contingent Worker role. You need to revoke this privilege to the Contingent Worker role so that they can apply to external career sites as external candidates. By revoking the privilege, contingent workers won't be able to access internal jobs and to answer interview questionnaires as this is required to access internal career sites.
