Geographic Hierarchy Decides Calendar Event Coverage

A calendar event applies to people's work assignments according to their geographic location when the event uses the geographic hierarchy.

For example, in the UK you want to identify January 2 as a holiday in Scotland but not in England, Wales, or Northern Ireland.

You create geographic hierarchies using the Setup and Maintenance > Workforce Deployment > Workforce Information > Manage Geography Trees task. You link the geography hierarchy to calendar events when you set the calendar event Hierarchy Type to Geographic.
