Pathways to Enhanced Dynamic Skills

There are different pathways to upgrade to Enhanced Dynamic Skills, depending on your current Talent Profile Type configuration. Review the considerations below to pick the one that’s relevant for your configuration.

Pathway 1

You don't have any skills content section. Run the Prepare Application for Skills Enrichment job. This will bootstrap the setup and configuration of your new Skills Center application.

Pathway 2

You've only one skills content section that neither the Talent Profile nor the Skills Center are subscribed to. Below are some further considerations:

Do you want to choose this content section as the Skills Center?	Do you want to apply security to your existing content section? **	Steps to get you started
No	Yes or No	Run the Prepare Application for Skills Enrichment job. This will bootstrap the setup and configuration of your new Skills Center application.
Yes	Yes	You can't use the current content section for Dynamic Skills, you however, you can run the Prepare Application for Skills Enrichment job to bootstrap the setup and configuration of your new Skills Center application.
Yes	No	Add Skills Center as a subscriber on this content section. Then, run the Prepare Application for Skills Enrichment job. This will bootstrap the setup and configuration of your new Skills Center application.

** The Skills Center content section is considered public and doesn't honor content section security.

Pathway 3

You've one or more skills content sections and Skills Center is subscribed to one of them. Run Prepare Application for Skills Enrichment to upgrade your skills framework and any transactions in the Skills Center-subscribed content section.

Pathway 4

You've one or more skills content sections and the content section you want to choose as the Skills Center content section is subscribed to by Talent Profile. Below are some further considerations.
