Handling Harvard Business Impact learning completions
Here's what happens between Oracle Learning and Harvard Business Publishing (HBP) or Harvard Business Review Spark (HBR Spark) when learners start and complete learning.
HBP learning completions
When a learner start a learning pathway, HBP sends an xAPI statement.
- If the learner isn't already enrolled through Oracle Learning, Oracle Learning creates their enrollment with an In progress status.
- If the learner is already enrolled, their Oracle Learning enrollment remains in the In progress status.
HBP doesn't send xAPI statements while the learner is working on the content. When the learner completes a course or learning pathway, HBP again sends a completion statement. HBP sends the statements only once for each course or pathway. Oracle Learning then updates the enrollment to the Completed status.
Learner need to manually update their enrollment to Completed for all other learning types. They can review completed content, but can't re-enroll.
HBR Spark learning completions
When a learner starts an activity, pathway, podcast, or video, HBR Spark sends an xAPI statement.
- If the learner isn't already enrolled through Oracle Learning, Oracle Learning creates their enrollment with an In progress status.
- If the learner is already enrolled, their Oracle Learning enrollment remains in the In progress status.
When the learner completes an article, activity, case study, lesson, pathway, podcast, tip, or video, HBR Spark sends a completion statement. Oracle Learning then updates the enrollment to Completed.
Skill Pages require content completion and learner confirmation.
