Approval rules for Oracle Learning

The rules define when approval is required for learning actions and who needs to review those actions before they proceed. Each rule process controls a specific learning action.

Some processes support full rule configuration, while others (like observation checklists) don’t. Approval flows differ between catalog and assignment contexts, and notifications can include context such as prerequisites for learning requests.

Rule process name Description
Learning Assignment Completion Let learners record learning they completed outside the learning catalog so it appears in their transcripts
Learning Assignment Withdrawal Require approval when learners request to withdraw from learning assignments.
Learning Incident Require approval when learners report learning as inappropriate or inaccurate.
Learning Item Contribution Require approval before learner-created contributions become available in the learning catalog.
Learning Observation Checklist

Send observation tasks and checklist questions to observers. Approval actions can’t be configured or bypassed.

Learning Request

Require approval before learners can start on requested learning. Can apply to catalog and noncatalog requests. Includes prerequisite details in notifications.
