How Actual Effort for Learning Content Is Calculated
Here's how actual effort is calculated for online, assessment, video, PDF, and URL content:
- If the SCORM and HACP content sends session time to Oracle Learning, the most recent value sent is the actual effort. Otherwise the actual effort is the amount of time the player is used.
- For assessments, the actual effort is the amount of time in the player.
- For videos, the actual effort is the time spent watching the video. For example, a video is 10 minutes long. The learner watches 5 minutes, goes back to the 2-minute point, watches those 3 minutes again and the remaining 5 minutes to the end of the video. Their actual effort is 13 minutes.
- For PDF and URL content, the actual effort is the expected effort defined on the activity.
