How to Sign In

When you first access Oracle Taleo Enterprise Edition, the User Sign In page is displayed.

You can select the language in which you want to use the products. If you change the default language on the Sign In page, the page is displayed in the new language and subsequent Oracle Taleo Enterprise Edition products are presented in that language. After selecting a language, you can also select the option Remember my selection so that the next time you sign in, the User Sign In page will be presented in the language you selected.

If single sign-on (SSO) isn't enabled within your organization, you need to enter your user name and password. In the event you forgot your password, you can ask for a new one. Depending on how the application is configured, you'll either receive an access code by email or you'll have to answer security questions.

Once your credentials are accepted, the Welcome Center is displayed. Oracle Taleo Enterprise Edition products made available to you depends on which products were purchased by your organization and on your user type and permissions. If you only have the permission to access one Oracle Taleo Enterprise Edition product and the display of the Welcome Center is enabled, the product is displayed directly.

The Welcome Center

The Welcome Center is the page displayed immediately after you sign in.

The Welcome Center is organized in these areas:

  • The auxiliary navigation bar provides links to the online help and your personal setup options.

  • The core navigation bar contains tabs to Oracle Taleo Enterprise Edition products.

  • The Quick Access panel provides a "one-click" access to the same products available in the core navigation bar. It also provides access to specific content such as a requisitions and submissions.

  • In the central panel, your organization can put information of interest to all product users.

Personalize Your Setup

If you have access to the welcome center and My Setup, you can personalize how certain information is displayed or behaves in the application.

You can personalize elements such as personal information, contact information, password, person to delegate your tasks, display preferences. You can also override options that were previously configured by your administrator to fit your personal preferences.

My Setup is available in the welcome center, under the Resources menu. The table presents options and preferences that you can modify in My Setup.

Option Description
Personal Information

This is where you can enter personal info such as your name, title, employee ID, address, email, phone.

Account Information

This is where you can enter info such as your user name and password.

The Delegate button allows you to delegate tasks to another user.

General Preferences

This is where you can configure how certain info is displayed or behaves in the application. For example, the content language used when you create requisitions and other items, the correspondence language used for emails, the default text size, your frequent approvers and collaborators.

Your Dashboard

Your dashboard is the landing page that you see when you access Recruiting. It summarizes recruiting activities that you own, or for which you're a collaborator.

The dashboard is organized in these areas:

  • Candidates

  • Job Requisitions

  • Offers

  • Tasks

For each item in an area, you can see the number of items requiring your attention and the total number of items.

  • Number of items requiring your attention: This is the number displayed under the red flag column. It represents the number of items that are new or have been updated by another user since you last viewed them. For example, when a requisition you own is approved by some other user, a new task is added to your Ready for sourcing tasks, the number for the Ready for sourcing task element increases by one, and this tag is displayed on the list with a red flag.

  • Total: This is the total number of items including new, previously viewed, and updated items. If you click the number, you're brought to the page where you can see the resulting list of items on which you can take action. For example, if you click the total number of ACE candidates in the Candidates area, you're brought to the Submissions list which displays ACE candidates.

You can use the Refresh All button to update all the items with the latest numbers.
