Migration from Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) to Oracle Analytics (OAS)

Beginning with Release 23C, are beginning a phased migration from Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) to Oracle Analytics (OAS).

We've attempted to make this migration smoother by maintaining the OBI content in this guide while including the relevant OAS information along with updated navigation paths. You'll notice a slightly different user experience primarily on the Home page and within Agent Management. Below are some of the highlights:

Home Pages for Oracle Analytics (OAS)

  • In Oracle Analytics, the Agent-related functionality has a dedicated link, OAS Agent Management and its own Home page.

  • There is not an Agent link under Actionable Intelligence on the Oracle Analytics Home page. Again, this and all other actions related to Agents is on the OAS Agent Management Home page.
  • In the Global Menu, the Oracle Analytics Home page has a Create link instead of the New link that OBI utilizes.

  • In the Agent editor, the content is displayed a full page instead of within tabs. There is also not an Actions area for information in the OAS Agent editor.
